EDC Registrars Limited (formerly Oceanic Registrars Ltd) was incorporated on the 19th March, 2003, and licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on 23rd November, 2005.
Following the intervention of Central Bank of Nigeria in some banks in 2009 which affected Legacy Oceanic Bank, its subsidiary (Oceanic Registrars) was taken over by Ecobank Transnational incorporated (ETI) to merge with their existing EDC Securities (Registrar Unit) and became a member of the Ecobank Group.
In 2016, Ecobank Development Corporation (EDC) divested from the Registrar business and the company was acquired by Modesty Capital Limited.
EDC Registrars core functions cut across keeping and managing the records and accounts of shareholders of clients’ companies, maintaining accurate records on matters relating to particulars of shareholders, transfer of shares, issuing of share certificates, payment of dividend, bonus shares, right issues, merger and acquisitions etc.
We operate in an open office system in a conducive environment.
